Focusing on universities and their interaction with peer institutions
The second phase of the project will identify the key elements required to build strong trust between universities

What are the main objectives of the second phase of MESHE?
Design of a Guide to Establish Quality and Trustworthy Partnership Cooperation between HEIs
The second phase of the project will analyse the key elements that make cooperation between universities successful, develop practical guidelines, and create opportunities to test and strengthen collaboration both within the consortium and with external institutions.
Steps:
- Comprehensive State of the Art Review
- Identification of micro-credentials to be used during the piloting phase
- Design of a fully articulated guide to support universities in establishing trust-based elements that enable effective cooperation with other institutions
Universities are consistently vigilant about the quality of the programmes they offer. When collaborating with other institutions, it is essential that both parties have confidence that their partners’ quality standards are at least equivalent to their own.

What kind of tools would help HEIs place greater trust in other institutions? Could this guide also support stronger cooperation agreements with industry? Could a group of universities collaborate with major companies to co-create new programmes?
MESHE will collect information from existing successful cooperation schemes, discuss it within the consortium and with stakeholders, and then develop a guide to helps less experienced institutions establish their own collaborations successfully
What are the benefits of creating successful collaborations with other institutions? Would your institution benefit from such collaborations, or do you feel it might give more than it would receive? Why?
